Patients will wear a compression garment that helps the skin shrink and conform to the smaller midsection as the inflammation reduces. Patients will need to recover for a few weeks while they heal before returning to work or normal activities. In the months following liposuction surgery, a new shape will appear – most patients will have their final results in about six months.
