Preparing for Your Consultation
In Office Consultations:
Actual Patient of Dr. Del Vecchio:
Choosing a plastic surgeon is an important decision that should be made carefully. The consultation is the most essential and necessary process for you to gain knowledge on the BBL and body contouring procedure that you desire. While it serves as an opportunity for you to build a relationship with the doctor and our staff, we at Uptown Body Contouring will also have the opportunity to learn more about you, your goals and to provide you with the necessary information to help you become more informed in the decision-making process. We encourage our patients to be as comfortable as possible, as we understand this first step can be overwhelming.
Upon arrival to Dr. Del Vecchio’s office, you will be greeted by a patient care coordinator and asked to fill out a new patient information form. It is very important that you are honest and thorough when completing this form to prevent problems and complications during your care in the future. Prescribed medications and vitamins should be listed as well.
You will meet Dr. Del Vecchio once you complete the new patient form. The length of the initial consultation may be as brief as 15 minutes or longer than an hour, depending on the complexity of the questions and issues involved. Whatever your particular needs might be, Dr. Del Vecchio will work with you to exceed your expectations and provide beautiful, natural-looking results. You will also be given the opportunity to review actual before and after photos of Dr. Del Vecchio’s work. These provide better visualization of Dr. Del Vecchio's extensive experience and outstanding results.
After your consultation, you will be given your surgical proposal which includes all surgeons, hospital and anesthesia fees. The patient care coordinator will thoroughly explain the steps to assist you in moving forward to schedule your prospective surgery. Should you have any additional questions or concerns prior to your surgery, we encourage you to contact our office during regular business hours.
FaceTime and Skype consultations work almost the same as a regular in-office consultation. Each are just as important, and again, essential processes for the patient.
Our patient care coordinator will contact you via FaceTime or Skype to introduce themselves and ask several questions from our new patient form that will be reviewed with the doctor prior to the start of your consultation. Once you begin your consultation with Dr. Del Vecchio, you will have the opportunity to explain your aesthetic desires and ask any questions you may have. Additionally, we encourage you to view our online before & after patient gallery.
We ask that all FaceTime/Skype consults prepare by:
- Wearing a robe
- Wearing panties or a thong beneath the robe so the doctor can best examine you
Also answer the following:
- Medications you take
- Prior surgeries?
- Allergies to medications
After your FaceTime/Skype consultation, the patient care coordinator will email your surgical proposal which includes all surgeon, hospital and anesthesia fees. The patient care coordinator will follow-up with you to address any questions and/or concerns. They will also thoroughly explain the steps to assist you in moving forward to schedule your prospective surgery. Should you have any additional questions or concerns prior to your surgery, we encourage you to contact our office during regular business hours.
If interested in surgery, you will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Del Vecchio in person to review the procedure and your goals before your surgery is completed.
